We are now using the MedLite laser for tattoo removal. It is great to be able to change your mind and remove an unwanted tattoo. On average professional tattoos require 6-8 treatments, while amateur tattoos require 4-5 treatments, all spaced approximately 6-8 weeks apart. The MedLite Q-Switched Nd: YAG laser is the laser of choice in this class of laser. Patient statement, ” I loved my tattoo when I got it, but I’m at a point in my life now where I no longer care to have it. The MedLite laser was the solution for me.”
If you are considering a couple of procedures to have done, it is best to combine them. When you combine the procedures, you have one recovery and you also save money on the operating room and anesthesia. Doing more than one procedure, say a breast lift and a tummy tuck doesn’t extend your recovery beyond a couple of days versus if you just did one of the procedures. Other procedures that are commonly and safely done together are a facelift and eye surgery, or rhinoplasty with breast augmentation to name a few.
We have been treating skin type IV-V with the 1064 laser with great results! This includes hair removal and skin tone and texture improvement with laser Genesis. This is a very safe laser for Asian, African American and all skin of color. We also use the Light Sheer Diode laser for hair removal on skin of color with excellent results.

One of the first areas that people start to see the aging process is in the eyes. Excess skin on the upper lid can make a person look tired. The procedure to fix this is called an upper lid blepharoplasty and it is very quick. The result is a refreshed, rested look. The procedure takes only about 45 minutes and can be done under local or general anesthesia. You can expect bruising to last up to two weeks. The incision with this procedure is concealed very well within the crease of the eye lid.
