Insurance Coverage for your Procedure
While most plastic surgery procedures are not covered by insurance, there are some instances where your procedure may be considered necessary for your health and therefore may be covered at least partially by your insurance. Some procedures that may be eligible for insurance coverage include:
- Breast reduction — many women require this surgery to alleviate severe neck and back pain caused by large breasts.
- Blepharoplasty — eyelid lifts may be covered by insurance if your vision is impaired by drooping eyelids.
- Rhinoplasty — sometimes a nose job is required to correct damage caused by an injury or when breathing is impaired.
